Roughly 3.3 million pages identified as responsive have never been released, and the JPMorgan correspondence most relevant to this page sits inside the Treasury file that has been withheld from Congress since 2022. Nothing here should be read as settled. Denials are recorded as denials and testimony as testimony — neither closes a question, and sworn statements have been wrong before. Where the released files are silent, this page says so rather than treating silence as exoneration or as proof.

Documented: the meetings, the flight, the Paris trip, the Nikolic correspondence, the Antonova payments, the failed charitable-fund proposal, and Gates's own confirmations.
Alleged by Epstein and denied: the July 2013 draft emails claiming he facilitated sexual encounters. They were never sent, and were written by Epstein to himself. Gates calls them “absolutely absurd and completely false.” This site records them as an Epstein claim, not a finding.
Not established: that Epstein influenced any Gates Foundation programme, that Gates knew of the trafficking, or that any donation was made at Epstein's direction.
Why Gates matters structurally. He was the single largest prize in Epstein's post-conviction rehabilitation campaign. Not for money — Epstein had money. For the standing that comes from being someone Bill Gates takes meetings with.
What the released files show about the outcome. No fund, no foundation partnership and no programme appears in them. What does appear is proximity, and a $2 million MIT donation Epstein claimed credit for.
That is an absence in a curated archive, not an established fact about what happened. The August 2011 fund proposal went to JPMorgan executives, and the bank correspondence sits inside the Treasury file that has been withheld from Congress for four years. The documents most likely to show whether anything came of it are the documents nobody has seen.
June 2026, to Congress: he “should never have met with Epstein in the first place,” but “never witnessed nor had any indication that Epstein was engaged in ongoing criminal conduct.”
On the draft emails: “These claims, from a proven, disgruntled liar, are absolutely absurd and completely false.”
At a staff town hall, 2026: “I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist whom I met through business activities.”
He states he did nothing illicit and never spent time around the women Epstein trafficked.

The Timeline
Gates has confirmed an affair with Mila Antonova, a Russian bridge player he met at bridge events. He confirmed it publicly at a staff town hall in 2026, alongside a second affair with a Russian nuclear physicist.
The New York Times later reported Gates met Epstein on numerous occasions beginning in 2011 — three years after the conviction. At least three meetings were at Epstein's Manhattan townhouse.
Epstein emails JPMorgan executives proposing a multibillion-dollar charitable fund built on Gates's money, JPMorgan's structuring and other billionaire donors, to finance global health projects.
Bill and Melinda meet Epstein together. Melinda tells Bill she is uncomfortable. A former foundation employee later told the Wall Street Journal her concerns dated from this point. Bill and foundation staff continued the relationship.
Epstein begins financially supporting Antonova — paying for coding school and organising a visa application. The support runs to at least 2018.
Boris Nikolic — Gates's science adviser — later reconstructs a timeline for Epstein from his own inbox, dating a rupture to this month.
Epstein and Gates meet in Paris, three weeks after the date Nikolic flagged.
Epstein writes two emails to himself claiming he facilitated sexual encounters for Gates and helped him obtain medication to conceal an infection from his wife. They were never sent. Gates: “absolutely absurd and completely false.”

By mid-2016 Gates has stopped engaging directly. All contact runs through Boris Nikolic, whom Epstein distrusted and called “melindas boy.”

She writes to Epstein: the opportunity let her “grow and have control over my life.” She describes sleeping on a friend's couch in Palo Alto for $700 a month.
Epstein names Gates's former science adviser as a backup executor of his estate. Nikolic said he was never informed and would not serve.
The extent of the meetings becomes public. Melinda's advisers hold calls. She had been meeting divorce lawyers since at least this year.
After 27 years. Melinda French Gates cited the Epstein relationship as a contributing factor. Roughly $8 billion was later transferred to her independent foundation.
The draft emails, the Nikolic correspondence and the Antonova material enter the public record.

What Epstein Wanted
Two things, pursued in parallel: the foundation's money, and a hold over the man.
The fund
In August 2011, Epstein emailed JPMorgan executives proposing a multibillion-dollar charitable fund — Gates's capital, JPMorgan's structuring, other billionaire donors, financing global health projects worldwide.
An insider memo described Epstein proposing to “leverage the resources of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.”
No such fund was ever publicly created, and none appears in the released material. It is the single largest deal Epstein is documented attempting. Whether anything smaller followed from it cannot be established from what has been released.
Why he wanted it. Not a commission. A fund of that scale, with his name attached to its creation, would have made him permanently unremovable from respectable institutional life — the same product documented on the MIT page, at a hundred times the scale.
The leverage
From 2013 to at least 2018, Epstein financially supported Mila Antonova — paying for coding school and organising a visa application — a woman Gates has confirmed having an affair with around 2010.

2016 — Gates has stopped talking to him directly; Epstein sends word that he still hears from her.
2017 — an email asking Gates to reimburse those costs.
Whatever the intent, the structure is unmistakable: a benefit conferred on a third party, kept alive for years, and mentioned again precisely when the relationship cooled.
This is the clearest documented picture anywhere in the archive of how the leverage was intended to work. Whether it produced anything is not answerable from the released files, and no document showing a response from Gates has been published.
She is not accused of anything, and the documents show a woman being used as an instrument by two much more powerful men.
In July 2017 she wrote to Epstein that the opportunity let her “grow and have control over my life,” describing sleeping on a friend's couch in Palo Alto for $700 a month.
That is what the leverage looked like from the inside.
Section 03
The Nikolic Channel
The most consequential figure in the Gates file is not Gates.
Boris Nikolic was Gates's science adviser, working across the Gates Foundation and bgc3, his private office. From roughly 2016, after Gates stopped engaging directly, Nikolic was the channel through which Epstein continued to reach him.
Epstein did not trust him. He called Nikolic “melindas boy” in correspondence — a read on whose interests the adviser actually served.
The rupture. In a late-night email, Nikolic reconstructed a timeline from his own inbox for Epstein: May 2013, “Mila happened”; three weeks later, the Paris meeting; a month after that, an email from Gates about “Melinda finding out” and the working relationship having to end.
Nikolic added: “I hope you are not finding me paranoid.”
Epstein's reply came just after midnight:
“He cries, because he knows it is wrong. Not because he is sad.”
The will. In 2019, Epstein named Nikolic a backup executor of his estate. Nikolic said he was never informed and would not serve.
Nikolic has not been charged with any offence.

Section 04
The Work, 2013–Present
Nothing in the released documents connects Jeffrey Epstein to any of the work below. No Epstein money is recorded entering the Gates Foundation, no charitable fund was publicly created, and no released document indicates he influenced a programme. That is what the available files show — which is not the same as establishing that nothing happened, given how much remains unreleased.
This section is here for the same reason the MIT research list is: the claim that Epstein shaped global health philanthropy gets made constantly, and almost never with any account of what that philanthropy actually was. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Wild poliovirus cases fell from hundreds of thousands annually in the 1980s to double digits; endemic transmission now persists only in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Bed nets, treatment, and — notably — funding for gene-drive mosquitoes engineered to suppress malaria-carrying populations. The same underlying technology developed at the MIT Media Lab's Sculpting Evolution group.
Vaccine purchasing for the poorest countries, and financing for HIV, TB and malaria programmes.
Sanitation engineering for settings without sewerage — an unglamorous programme with very large mortality effects.
Crop research, smallholder productivity and AGRA, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa — the most criticised part of the portfolio.
Mobile money and digital payment infrastructure across South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
Gates's climate investment vehicle, backing long-shot decarbonisation technologies.
Advanced nuclear reactor design; the Natrium demonstration plant broke ground in Wyoming in the 2020s.

CEPI, the ACT-Accelerator and vaccine manufacturing finance — the period in which Gates became a fixture of conspiracy narratives, almost none of them connected to anything in the Epstein files.
Gates leaves the board, reported at the time as allowing more focus on philanthropy; later reporting connected the timing to a separate internal inquiry.
The foundation announced it will disburse its endowment and close by 2045 rather than exist in perpetuity.
Epstein's documented interests were genetics, eugenics, cryonics, currency and access to heads of state.
The Gates portfolio across the same years is polio, malaria, sanitation, vaccines, smallholder agriculture, nuclear reactors and climate finance — continuous with what the foundation was already doing before 2011 and after 2019.
There is one genuine thematic adjacency: gene-drive mosquitoes for malaria suppression, the same underlying technology developed at the MIT Media Lab. Nothing connects Epstein to either programme, and the malaria work predates his involvement with Gates.
The honest position is that the portfolio looks continuous either side of the contact period, and that no released document disturbs it. This section should be read as what is currently visible, not as a verdict. If material in the withheld files changes it, this page changes with it.

Open Questions
Epstein spent five years trying to turn the world's most famous philanthropist into a vehicle. No completed transaction appears in the released files — but the correspondence most likely to settle that question, with JPMorgan, sits in material withheld from Congress since 2022.
What the released record does establish is that he kept a woman's tuition on his books for five years and mentioned it, through an intermediary, at exactly the moment the relationship cooled.
This file is open. Gates has denied wrongdoing and testified to that effect; a denial and a statement to Congress are positions on the record, not resolutions of it. Roughly 3.3 million pages remain unpublished, and this page will change if they say something different.
